Marc Ehrhardt has studied and dealt with how the people of the U.S. Gulf South think, listen and act for more than 30 years. As president of The Ehrhardt Group, the region’s No. 1 public relations firm, Marc guides the strategic direction and new business development efforts of the firm founded by Malcolm and Pia Ehrhardt, while also providing high-level counsel to clients throughout the Gulf South and nationwide. Known for his deep understanding of Gulf South audiences and culture, Marc helps organizations navigate high-profile opportunities, complex issues and reputation management challenges.

Marc has extensive experience shaping major regional and national initiatives and special events, including working closely with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation for 20 years on multiple Super Bowls, Final Fours, two WrestleManias and dozens of other special events held in New Orleans. Most recently, this work includes serving on the New Orleans Super Bowl LIX Host Committee and providing strategic counsel to the Media and Public Relations Sub-Committee.

Marc is the co-author of the Gulf South Index, which taps into hundreds of thousands of data points to shed light on what millions of people in both the Gulf South region and around the country think and how they live their lives: including what they buy, how they get their news and where they spend their money. Marc is active in the Louisiana chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization and is an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and Louisiana Economic Development’s CEO Roundtable. He has served on the board of the Press Club of New Orleans and the Young Leadership Council in New Orleans, where he led the inaugural “One Book, One New Orleans” citywide reading and literacy awareness initiative.

Marc earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago and will pursue an executive master’s degree in behavioral science from the London School of Economics in the fall of 2026. He joined the family business after working at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide in Chicago.
